A message from Rev’d Neil Cook on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Following a statement by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, Sunday worship services and midweek gatherings in the Church of England have been put on hold until further notice due to COVID-19.

However Church has not shut up shop – far from it! Rather, we are facing the challenge of the pandemic by becoming a radically different kind of church rooted in prayer and serving others.

Jesus said, ‘Love your neighbour.’ Therefore we will be there for all in our community. We will contact and support those who are isolated at home or need a friend in these difficult days. Where we can we will provide practical help to those who need it. We will also keep some church buildings open for private reflection and offer ways to enable us all to join in prayer and worship from our own homes.

More information will be published this week.
